The 3M™ LifeASSURE™ EMZ Series Electronics Grade Filter is a high efficiency naturally hydrophilic charge modified nylon membrane filter designed to meet the exacting requirements of DI water, critical parts cleaning and chemical applications.

Utilizing 3M’s multi-zone membrane technology and Advanced Pleat Technology (APT), the 3M™ LifeASSURE™ EMZ Series Electronics Grade Filter provides superior flow characteristics with minimal pressure drop. Increasing flow while maintaining filter efficiency results in particle count specifications being achieved in less time. This decrease in processing time results in lower total filtration costs. The naturally hydrophilic charge modified nylon membrane is in an all polypropylene construction which provides low extractable levels, increased filter life and superior contaminant reduction. 3M™ LifeASSURE™ EMZ Series Filters are ideally suited for DI water, critical parts cleaning and other high purity chemical applications where superior downstream cleanliness and high efficiency contaminant reduction is required.

Multi-Zone Membrane Technology
3M™ LifeASSURE™ EMZ series filters incorporate 3M SPSD’s multi-zone membrane technology to maximize contaminant holding capacity while maintaining particle reduction efficiency. The multi-zone membrane consists of a high porosity, large pore size zone on the upstream section and a tighter pore size zone on the downstream side. The higher porosity zone on the upstream side provides effective pre-filtration of large particles resulting in more efficient contaminant reduction capacity and increased filter life. The lower porosity zone on the downstream section provides a sharp retention cut-off at the rated pore size. The multi-zone structure enhances the internal surface area, lowers pressure drop, and increases contaminant holding capacity and filter life when compared to single zone membrane structures.
